Hi, I’m Jess of Model Makeovers, welcome to my website. For the past 21 years, I’ve grown my career as a makeup artist - demonstrating my passion for my work with the bridal and photographic industries.
I began my career in 2003, working on the commercial side with studio photographers and quickly also moved into the wedding industry, and have worked with hundreds of beautiful brides over the years. I simply love helping clients to look and feel amazing! I’m passionate about it and proud to be Bournemouths vegan friendly make-up artist. It’s an absolute privilege to be part of a brides specical day.
I am also so grateful to be recognised and recommended by so many photographers within the industry and wedding venues across the UK’s South Coast, for my reputable bridal make-up services.
In addition, my abilities extend to a variety of commercial projects…film/TV, styled photoshoots and mainstream publications. I’ve worked as a Lead make-up artist on film sets and my services can be booked for celebrities and models. I regularly work in large photo studios on set and out on location and am fully insured and available to travel. I enjoy working under pressure solely and as part of a crew.
I take great pride in using only the highest quality products for both bridal and commercial bookings, choosing to use make-up brands that are only ever cruelty-free and vegan friendly. This is because I have such a love of animals and am passionate about being able to offer clients this unique service.
My kit includes products from:
Huda, Fenty, Hourglass,Iconic London, Morphe, Charlotte Tilbury and Stila, all recognised for being cruelty-free. I’m always adding new and exciting products to my kit so that clients consistently receive the latest and best products available.
Whether it’s the most unique weddings or demanding commercial shoots, I bring a calm, friendly and professional approach that is assured to deliver a picture-perfect, flawless look. I offer MUA services in and around Dorset and Hampshire, covering Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Weymouth and the surrounding areas and am fully insured and able travel around the UK.
Amazing work, professional and lovely lady
Jess was amazing on my wedding day, had a great trial before the wedding and Jess put me at ease. The results were beautiful, my make up stayed perfectly on all day even in 23-degree heat. Jess went above and beyond on my wedding day to help me with not just the makeup but also calming me down and last-minute bridal prep. I can not recommend highly enough, me and my bridesmaids looked amazing and Jess made everyone look so natural and was a pleasure to work with. If you want someone who is good at communicating, very reasonably priced, professional, caring and uses a great product book with Jess!! Can’t recommend more!! Love love love your work xx

We finally had a Covid safe October wedding, Jess was Covid prepared wore masks, cleaned everything and acted very professionally, whilst still making my bridesmaids, MOB, and myself feel so special.
Jess listened to my makeup brief of simple, and it looked truly beautiful. I had many compliments on my makeup. It was so nice knowing all day that my makeup was lovely and I looked beautiful - thank you, Jess.
Nothing was too much trouble - with the uncertainty of Covid, Jess was so patient and a fantastic ear to talk to.
Christmas Party Make Up!
Jess did my make up for a Christmas party I was attending, I was so happy with it. It was very pretty & sparkly & lasted from lunchtime all the way through to the end of the night! Jess also gave me advise on skincare & recommended products that would suit my skin type. I can’t wait for another excuse to have my make up done, thank you, Jess!
Jess was absolutely amazing for our wedding in October 2020 (COVID BRIDE).
She wasn’t just our makeup artist, she was apart of our party and I’m so pleased I chose her! All of her makeup was top brands and she really listened to what I was looking for. She even provided me with little samples for the day as I was worried about being an emotional wreck all day.
Honestly, for COVID brides out there, I am a postponed bride from April 2020 and Jess was so supportive through the entire situation and just kept checking in to make sure I was okay she had all the adequate equipment so made me and all my bridal party feel safe. Highly recommend.

Jess is the best make up artist I have come across and made me feel at ease with her lovely personality. She really loves her work and is seriously amazing at it, I would 100% recommend Jess!!!
Jess has done my make up twice this year,
once for my wedding and once for my Mum’s. For all of the trials and events Jess was incredibly professional and kind. The make up always looked amazing and Jess was brilliant at offering advice. She has a fantastic knowledge of different products and was able to recommend the best products for my skin, even providing advice when I asked after the two events!

Perfect in every way
Wow-what can I say about jess!! Everything about my make up was spot on! She knew exactly the colours that would suit me and really made my eyes pop! Jess is friendly and chatty so puts you at ease immediately exactly what you need on your big day! Would I recommend model makeovers? No question! I'm planning a night out as we speak just So I can have my make up done again!
Jess took care of my wedding makeup and I absolutely loved it!
She is a gentle and talented makeup artist who really listened to what I wanted and transcribed it perfectly during the trial and on the day. She did wonders with my Mum’s makeup too. I highly recommend her :)
